The Haqqani Fellowship

Why is it that I find so much blather about the Shaitan and Jinn? This one is the Shaitan this one has Jinn....why is this? Why aren't people minding their own business? Frankly I find it disturbing and not a little divisive to her this type of talk even with Naqshbandi's.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are trying to say here.
Jinn and shaytaan (bad jinn) are not superstition, they are mentioned in the Quran an are part of what a muslim believes.
Often I note that some cultures in Islam have certain beliefs. When asked they will say, "Oh we've always done this or that, that way." I ask the question is this superstition? If you do not have sound Quran or Hadith to back it up, and you do it anyway, isn't it superstition, in other words if I don't do this I might cause something bad to happen. Example.
can you give an example of this? it seems like we are on a different topic now.
no its not a diffwerent topic.
I am asking a clear question, maybe you can't answer it, if that's the case, okay. Insha Allah, here goes.....
I am saying sometimes it appears that people are quick to offer their advice on why something happens a certain way, or why a given individual has a rash of what they think is bad luck. Perhaps the person is emeshed in something that they can't handle and they get called, "shaitain" or someone says "Oh there are Jinn all around that person." Isn't this superstitious behavior? What do the Shaykhs say about superstition vs the letter of the law, sticking to the Quran. What does the Quran say about superstition.
Great questions Rabi'a I am wondering and seeking the answer for this topic myself.
This question was posted in 2009, It would be interesting to know if Rabia was able to find an answer to her question
Aa brothers and sisters...the best place to find answers is eshaykh.com.
Superstition has NO place in Islam. Islam is supposed to destroy superstitions. Some cultures superstions have remained with them after they converted to Islam and became mixed with Islam. I call it STUPIDstition!! May Allah give us good understanding of His religion.

Shah Naqshband on Fellowship

The Imam of the Naqshbandi Order said, "طريقتنا الصحبة والخير في الجمعية - Tariqatuna as-suhbah wa 'l-khayru fi 'l- jam`iyyah" - “Our way is fellowship, and the goodness is in the gathering”.

Definition of Fellowship:

1. The companionship of individuals in a pleasant atmosphere.

2. A close association of friends sharing similar interests.
