The Lovers
The Love I carry for You
Is beyond reason and doubt
The Love that perfumes Your House
Keeps my soul awake at night
Sweetness is in your delight
And everything else is a loss of time
Let the wind from Yemeni
Carry this joy to your doorstep
And let the fire of our ecstasy
Burn the pen of my intellect
Books and papers are of no use
to the ones lost in your ocean
The essence of every secret is Love
It has nothing to do with letters
And I will need the support of your Friends
To share this confidence with the stars
I found You hidden in my heart
As a Proof of the Divine Generosity
"They only have Love in their hearts"
By Allah, none can understand this mystery
And the sweetness of your voice at midnight
Keeps my soul whirling in peace
Oh, these lone tears of sorrow
Are drops looking for the Ocean
They all remember the way Home
The only one lost here is me
So let time finish its business
Then Eternity will be for us.
Sometimes, words are hard to find
To describe the turmoil of a lover
Silence hides a more powerful secret
But when the white moon shines in the dark
The nightingale cannot hold its song back
So we sing You with Heavens' reed
Even though the subtlety of this ode
Is something new to us
We are not poets and speakers
We are Lovers traveling at night
"They only have Love in their hearts"
By Allah, none can understand this mystery
And the sweetness of your gaze in sunlight
Keeps my soul melting in bliss
Oh my Beloved One,
Pure Light of my Paradise
May the Blessings of Allah
Be on you and on your family
AllahHuMma salli ala Seydina Muhammadin
Wa ala ali Seydina Muhammadin wa Salim.

I must say one thing - I was trying to find a connection the other day between tears and the ocean
but then I just brushed it off as nothing and now look - you have done so, so succinctly. This is a beautiful poem
