The Haqqani Fellowship

Every Jumu' ah a man would bring for Hajjah Amina, the shoulder part from a baby lamb to use the meat for her family meal. She would use it for the entire week little by little to cook, until to the following Friday. The shoulder had a very small amount of meat. With Allah' s blessings and from her baraka, she have used the meat of that shoulder piece providing as ground meat and the left over of the bones cooked throughout the week. Hajjah Amina would cook using just a normal-sized pot for her family and her numerous guests.

She gave a task of a holy chore to her eldest daughter and son, Hajjah Naziha and Hajj Mehmet. There were poor people in Damascus, not homeless, but they were old and had no family. They were unable to work or to prepare their food. So, every night before dinner, Hajj Mehmet and Hajjah Naziha would go and feed people before they would eat. Hajj Mehmet would take food for 5-6 old men, and Hajjah Naziha would take food for 5-6 old women. These people all lived in different houses; some lived in the mountains and some lived close to the mosque. Hajjah Najiha and her brother would spend an hour each day delivering the food before they could eat their meal. Masha' Allah they were happy.

May Allah swt give us all tawfeeq to do so much good in our lives. Aameen.
Hajja Amina was always kind to me and the many women asking her advice. She carried the Light and was very beautiful and patient. I love the example of her reading the Holy Q'ran whenever she had the time to sit and read. Her presence comes to me in dreams and I am always thankful and
inspired. Her ability to feed the masses who came to her home is astonishing. May Allah Bless her and her sons and daughters, and may her husband Sheikh Nazim have a long life to meet al
Mahdi (as) She is always an example for my heart. Mu'ina
Masha'Allah.
I have never met Hajjah Amina (May God rest her Soul, Insha'Allah), but i read the books she wrote, specially "Muhammad The Messenger of Islam", and even though i've read it many times, it always makes me cry and makes my skin shiver. The Soul of Hajjah Amina transpires through it. She must have been one of a kind. The pure Light of those whom God guides stay with us even after they die, SubhanAllah. Let us take a few minutes in this Blessed Ramadan and say the Fatiha for Hajjah Amina, may God grant her Peace and more Light

Salam, sister Nasreen,

Feels so good to know that someone else went through the same experience. Actually i am now again in the process of re-reading the same book, and this time it is more profuse tears than ever, Alhamdulillah. Beside "Lore of Light", do you happen to know of any other book that Hajjah Amina has written?

On the other hand, if you are looking for other beautiful biographies of our Beloved Prophet (saws), you might want to try the one by Tariq Ramadan. Very different but beautiful too,

Love,

Hala

Mashalla to all of you sisters. I too have never met her but admire her and feel her presence. I truly felt she was helping me over the years make the sufi kids site and upon completion I had seen a beautiful dream of her when she was younger. I felt she was happy and we have dedicated the site to her as she is truly a mother of wisdom and knowledge.
May Allah bless her soul eternally. Ameen! Her works for children are a wonder.

Subhanallah. A very good show and ideology of good parenting don't you think. Also a good reminder for ourselfs as adults. In being more giving and sharing. Especially for telling children. When they want to turn round and tell u they dont want something you've just cooked, just bcos their not too keen on that particular food. although they havn't even tasted the way it has been cooked. Then Low n Behold they will eat it and even want more... I will definately share this with my 2 children.Especially the one i just mentioned te he... And Yes her book on our blessed prophet p.b.u.h is very interesting and enlightening, almost too much to Digest at times,In a Good Way.
Like to add, that Many may agree I think Hajjah Amina through our dreams is Still counselling people.Mashallah, May Allah Bless her and give her Much more Baraka and enlightment.Ameen
