Comment by Maryam Noor Rodriguez on December 28, 2012 at 1:43pm What happens when you’re not defined by this world?
When you have taken shelter in a small room far from all
Stayed up in the silence of the night seeking Him
Your mind tried to focus and depending on the need you seeked with more fervor
The need of having another heart companion over took you
Your mind wanted Him but your heart seemed to split
Broken enough times the heart regenerates
After all aren’t some remedies composed of crushed elements?
You’re no longer in that room you are in the crowed
Your eyes see wide the splendors some say of this world
But your heart is in serenity dwirling in His companionship
A companionship that is ever present ever fruitful ever fufilling
Comment by bashir on September 5, 2012 at 7:00pm A poem by my wife jamylah, may Allah bless her.
Who said I must be polite with you?
Who said I must qualify my words in this
venue,
Here,
Now?
You...yes you,
Damn you!
That word should be an
atomic blast simply because my fist isn't swollen enough to grind you into fine
sand.
I can, and I will blame you,
With a hurricane of repugnance
conjured by my one vein of reason.
You are not a weightless
shadow
Predictably dancing like a white-eyed puppet,
You are not a
smokeless flame ball snickering whispers from behind the thorny hedges.
You
are the innate worm, the tameless dragon, the enraged equine mocker
Expanding
yourself inside me with supercilious ravage.
Beware, when I mend and rise
renewed from this bier upon which you've presumptuously laid me,
I will be at
you again with furious lashes and fatal gashes!
The jihad will joyously
resume until you fall like a feathery leaf to the ground, where it will ever
prostrate beneath its tree.
Then, your potency will only restore me like the
waters of zam zam,
So beware, my nafs, beware!
Comment by bashir on July 28, 2012 at 6:14pm A mureedah of shaykh nazim ,describes her dreams of Habibi Nabi Muhammad al mustafa sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, in a poem;
I remember the night I kissed your cheek
Awed and honored by your heart calling mine
Awakening with feverish disbelief
That you, Beloved Nabi, would greet me so soon.
And I remember another moonlit den
Where you gave me my secret Shahadah
Speaking beyond what my ears could hear
Pulling my soul with the universe in your eyes
Ya Nabi, peace be upon you
Ya Rasool, I can’t believe you let me find you
In times of need and turmoil you call me to your court
And remind me I’ve been crowned with the pulse of your blood
I remember the night I floated over the Kaabah
Flooded with love as I watched the pilgrims bathe their prayer rugs in tears
They vowed even then to never wash away that barakah
And I wished for the chance to do the same
Ya Habib, remember when you left me in the darkened hall?
And I called after you, “You are the best person in the world! I love you!”
Your green cloak flowed behind you as I watched you disappear
I haven’t seen you since, and I miss you my dear
Ya Nabi, peace be upon you
Ya Rasool, I wish I loved you more
You are the brightest star, the sweetest word, the kindest soul
Who beams noor into our dusty abodes
I remember the secret hadith you shared with me
The fear of illness and the promise of a child
And who can count the gems of guidance you have given me
Like rivers of light flowing down
Every blazing comfort is your heartfelt gift
Every step you walk with us returns us to Allah
Every stellar congregation in your presence cures my heart
Every request for aid is the weightless love you carry for us all
Ya Nabi, peace be upon you
Ya Rasool, your brilliance burns my fears away
I send you greetings and may the blessings of Jumaah find you
And so may I, Insha’Allah, again
Comment by bashir on July 28, 2012 at 6:05pm This is a Poem by my wife (with her permission i am relating this) she had a dream in which she was in a gathering of muslims all saying poetry. When it was her turn she realized that she did not prepare any poem to say so was scared. Finally, she decided to just say something hoping that she would be inspired with something and alhamdulillah a poem came from her heart in the dream ,of which when she woke up,remembered every word.
The Poem she was inspired with in her dream is as follows;
You say you want to know me
You want to see who I really am
Well here I am before you
Here is where I stand
I'm not anything to be proud of
I'm insecure and I am weak
I can't find my soul to show you
See here, I can barely speak!
You say you want me to trust you
You want me to reach for you when I'm down
But how can I grab hold of you
When I don't see you around?
You say that you are here for me
You say that I only must trust
Well this is me trying to reach you
This is me giving my best!
I will keep striving to find you
I'll keep coming if you give me the chance
I promise that instead of hiding away
I'll stand up and dance.
Comment by Maryam Noor Rodriguez on April 5, 2012 at 1:58am Give Love Its Place
My Beautiful one your love tore me from this cocoon before that I thought I would live all my life crawling you set me free.
My friends I tell you the secret the reality is love find it in any corner and let it ascend you for love is the reflection of a healthy heart & nothing in the earth nor heavens can contain Him except a believers heart.
Love makes you fall to your knees forgetting yourself it makes bursts of tears gush down the cheeks.
It keeps the focus on the one even against the world itself. Love can bring down a thousand internal & external enemies.
They don’t know that my love is a form of worship that seeks you in their internal light you reflex in their hearts.
I am the moth & the light has hypnotized me even if I were to fly into the sun seeking You.
Love is like the messenger that squeezed so tight and whispered. Love is the teacher & the answer.
I smiled once thinking my only big pains in life was due to love pains compared to others suffering mine seemed like a delight.
Yet now knowing that to be far from the beloved one becomes a martyr!
Yes I am a martyr I’ve died and you brought me back to life and I’ve died a thousand times more away from you yet a thousand times your nearness has revived me.
The Imam of the Naqshbandi Order said, "طريقتنا الصحبة والخير في الجمعية - Tariqatuna as-suhbah wa 'l-khayru fi 'l- jam`iyyah" - “Our way is fellowship, and the goodness is in the gathering”.
Definition of Fellowship:
1. The companionship of individuals in a pleasant atmosphere.
2. A close association of friends sharing similar interests.
