Masha' Allah it is a very kind thought of you. I have a calender
which I bought from Haqqani-fellowship for Arabic month, it
says in there 26th, December alhamdulillah...!! May Allah
bless you... !

Salaam Sister Mashal,

Oooops!!! what a stumble.....:(..:(... sorry about that. It is my fault did not check your profile. Just guess...!! Which reminds me a story of my experience in the past.

My daughter was born in Ottawa, Canada. Things were different back then. After she was born a week later, we came from the hospital to home. It was time for us to keep her name officially Islamic way, so a few men came to our home from the masjid before Maghrib prayer.

They had to follow quite a few steps to go through the process. But I will just share which I thought it was interesting to me and matches with my mistake.

They had to go through the process to find a letter from the Holy Qu' ran that will decide her name to keep. So, they followed the process 3 times in orderto make sure that there is no mistakes and every time letter "Alif " was coming, so finally, that was the decision to keep her name with "Alif " ...........

Here, comes the interesting part..... they were not only helping us with the letter, after that they were suggesting us with all kinds of names while they were going through the process of 3 times. Among the names were Iqbal, Akhter, Azeez, Anis, and ........ so on. Well, my grand father's name was Azeez, and my older brother's name is Iqbal, who is next to above me. Then Anis is my cousin brother's name and now is my son's name.

Well, my daughter's name is Anjuma....(end of the story). I guess the " Islamic Calender " was wrong......(1428 - 1431 HIJRI .... Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi Order of America; www.naqshbandi.org) made a mistake..:(.... Sorry...!!!
