Pomegranates...Fruit creating the Light of Allah in ones heart

Salaam, pray you are well. Ameen... As i have been eating pomegrantes for a few days now i thought i should also share with you some reasons as why you should considering eating them too... Yesterday, i was reading a book on the medicine of the Prophet, peace and blessings upon him, I found that pomegranates are among the five mentioned fruits in the quran, and that its seeds are part of the seeds from the pomegrantes in Paradise...I also read that it keeps you free from satanic whisperings and evil thoughts for forty days (and yes forty days is mentioned again!!) I found from another source that it helps to create the light of Allah in ones heart too. Alhamdollilah, we have so many ways out, and Allah is looking to our hearts and guiding us towards His beautiful Favours, Alhamdollilah!!!

Anyway, as i mentioned before, pomegrantes have now become my favourite fruit and i would like to share with you this information i found regarding its health benefits...I hope the shops dont stop selling these fruits, i have got quite used to them now, and i would anticpate you will feel the same after knowing this....Inshallah..pray for me!!!

Heres the info i found....Salaam

POMEGRANATE

Anas narrated that when the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam was asked about pomegranates he said: “There is not a pomegranate which does not have a pip
from one of the pomegranates from Jannah in it.” And another Hadith goes: “No
one eats pomegranate without his heart being moved and Shaytan fleeing from
him. And Ali RadhiAllahu anhu said: Whoever eats pomegranates has the Light of AllahTa’ala in his heart.”

Whenever Ibn Abbas RadhiAllahu anhu stopped by a pomegranate pip, he would pick it up and eat it. People asked him why he did this, and he replied: “I truly believe
that there is not a single pomegranate on earth which does not contain one pip
from the pips of the Garden, and perhaps this pip is the one!” (From Suyuti’s Medicine of the Prophet)

Sweet pomegranate are preferred over the sour. The juice stems coughs. All kinds of pomegranate settle palpitations of the heart. Hazrat Ali Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu said that the light of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala is in the heart
of whoever eats pomegranate. It is also reported that one who eats three
pomegranates in the course of a year will be inoculated against ophthalmic for
that year. Said the Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam : Pomegranate
"cleanses you of Satan and from evil aspirations for forty days."

Sweet pomegranate is hot and wet, good for the stomach, and strengthens it because of it being a mild constipating agent. It is also good for the throat, chest and
lungs, along with relieving coughing. The juice in the pomegranate softens the
stomach and is a nutrient for the body. It also digests quickly because it is
light and produces heat along with some air in the stomach. (From here)

11 Health Benefits of Pomegranate Juice

several recent studies have shown significant potential health benefits from
drinking pomegranate juice. Here are eleven:

1.Fights Breast Cancer
Studies in Israel
show that pomegranate juice destroys breast cancer cells while leaving healthy
cells alone. It may also prevent breast cancer cells from forming.

2. Lung Cancer Prevention
Studies in mice show that pomegranate juice may inhibit the development of lung
cancer.

3. Slows Prostate Cancer
it slowed the growth of prostate cancer in mice.

4. Keeps PSA Levels Stable
In a study of 50 men who had undergone treatment for prostate cancer, 8 ounces
of pomegranate juice per day kept PSA levels stable, reducing the need for
further treatment such as chemotherapy or hormone therapy.

5. Protects the Neonatal Brain
Studies show that maternal consumption of pomegranate juice may protect the
neonatal brain from damage after injury.

6. Prevention of Osteoarthritis
several studies indicate that pomegranate juice may prevent cartilage

11. Dental Protection
Research suggests that drinking pomegranate juice may be a natural way to
prevent dental plaque.

Other Health Benefits - Pomegranate

The Pomegranate has been touted as a super fruit due to its amazing health
properties. This is because Pomegranates are rich in Potassium, folic acid,
Vitamins (rich in Vitamin C) and Antioxidants called polyphenols (some studies
suggest that they contain 3 times more antioxidants than red wine or green
tea).

Antioxidants are chemical substances which help in the prevention of cellular
damage (said to be a common pathway for cancer, heart problems, aging, and a
variety of diseases) and are the main reason for the big obsession.

Much research has been done to show that Pomegranates may be able to reduce
blood pressure, LDL cholesterol build up and even slow down prostate cancer.
