Rivers of my soul

In this tunnel of solitude
There is no light but the shadow of light.
In this tunnel, far beyond my understanding,
I hear a voice saying
That this tunnel is good,
That it leads to happy endings,
Without even a doubt,
Without a questionning.

But how?
How is this good?
When my heart is put to death
(I hear the sentence in every breath).
When it carries and pumps
Iron colored winds through my longs,
And through my vains the very bleeding of life?
What is worth this sacrifice?

When each cell of this tumultuous movement is a tear
That only lives to come dying
On the shore of my soul.

Of this agony, tell me the meaning,
O Lord of Bounty and majestuous speaking!
