There is a tree of certainty bearing fruits of the strangest kind. Its branches are made of a wood that divine light inspires to grow until they reach the first paradise. When they are able to touch the walls of the first paradise, the branches, like hands, starts to collect the fruits that Allah Almighty commanded angels to produce in order to adorn the tree with. Because a tree without fruits is exactly like an hand deprived of generosity.
As the tree keeps to be charged with more and more fruits, its arms are becoming heavier. So it as no choice but to go back to earth and spread out its arms in order to be liberated by distributing these fruits to mankind. Then, as soon as the tree has given everything, it may cross the universes again to attain the kingdom of heavens where it will be dressed once more with all kinds of fruits created from Allah's Beauty and Majesty.
This tree is the tree of spiritual knowledge that grows in the inner being of a saint. And yet, if there is no human to walk under the tree, to place a ladder on its tronk and start to gather apples, oranges or nuts, then there is no need for the tree to receive the tiniest fruit. Because the fruits of a tree are destined to feed other living creatures, not the tree itself. So in reality, this tree is excatly like an hand, receiving and giving, and giving more in order to receive more to give even more. The branches covered with fruits are the symbols of the spiritual gifts that Allah Almighty has placed in the hands of his saints. What makes a saint so precious is that not even the smallest spiritual fruit can be given to humans if a saint did not allow the tree of certainty to grow from the soil of his inner reality through the hardships of training. During its maturation and growth, piercing through the dunya’s crust, the tree reaches the first level of paradise on behalf of each person Allah has ordered this tree to gather fruits for. Without the saints collecting and distributing spiritual sustenance, the souls of humanity would have starve to death.
It means that we must all be kind to everyone. Everyone. Because we never know, being rude to someone, if we have not sorrowed one of Allah Almighty’s friends. Might be that with our bad behaviors, our quick and blind judgments, we have prevented ourselves from receiving the very special gifts Allah has placed for us in one of His trees.
May Allah (swt) place in our hearts the unconditionnal love of these majestic trees.
